Pairs of opposites
At this point, some readers may be reminded of well-known pairs of opposites such as yin and yang in Chinese philosophy, or the positive and negative poles of electricity and magnetism.
I for one am reminded of these pairs straight away. Even the elements of Fire, Earth, Air and Water are expressions (on this abstract level) of the basic tension through which the centre may exert its influence.
Although these subjects certainly deserve much more attention, I want to restrict myself to our cosmological exploration. Therefore I will not go into these subjects at this point.
